2009 Summer Hockey Trip
We started in Michigan, then stopped in Toronto for the "Summer Meltdown" Tournament.  The kids won their division.  Then on to dinner at Gret's and the Hockey Hall of Fame.  From Toronto, we headed east, with stops at Niagara Falls and Atlantic City, on our way to the "One Hockey" Tournament in Philadelphia.  In Philly, we stumbled upon Jennifer Aniston's double.  Then it was on to the tourney.  The Philly coach was former NHL player for the Ducks, J. F. Jomphe.
Joe & Jason at Game 7 Stanley Cup 2009 Finals
Team Warrior Hockey Sticks were back at the St. Ignace, Michigan U.P. Pond Hockey Championship in Feb 2009 to defend their 2008 runner-up spot.  Same thing this year: we made it to the big game and couldn't finish.  Just for the record, 2-Goal-Tony (TGT) did his part!  Team Photo (#12) L to R: Jason, B. A., Bird Dog, DJ, Joe, TGT, and "Big & Rich."

The Story of 4
The number 4, both straight-up, and upside-down, is used throughout this site and elsewhere in tribute to Joe's older brother--best friend and fellow hockey enthusiast, Patrick Bourdow--who passed away in 2003.  Joe and Patrick were as close as brothers could be, and both used the number 4 in all of their sports.  So when they began playing on the same team, Joe kept the number 4, and Patrick used the upside down 4.  And it's been that way ever since...
